About Us

Welcome to the ReReading House, where we specialize in assisting students with reading difficulties and Dyslexia. Our unique approach involves utilizing the Science of Reading and the Orton-Gillingham method. Our main objective is to provide students with a customized, multi-sensory learning experience that enhances their reading skills while instilling a sense of confidence and accomplishment. We strive to cultivate a passion for reading within our students, enabling them to view themselves as capable and successful learners.

Our Story

While serving as a 3rd grade teacher, Amanda Chandler experienced a defining moment while reading with one of her students, ReAnn. It became apparent that ReAnn was struggling significantly with reading the words on the page despite employing the strategies that were taught to her throughout her academic journey.

Her mom was continuously told from Kindergarten – 3rd grade, to “just give it time”. Amanda KNEW there had to be a different way, a better way to help this student. Thus began her journey of learning all she could about the Science of Reading, Dyslexia, and how our brains learn to read.

A wide gap of understanding of this Science and typical teaching approaches exists. The ReReading house exists to help close this gap for ALL readers with our specialized Reading Therapies. We believe that the solution to helping students read better lies in ReLearning, ReReading, and ReThinking the way we teach them.
